Quick Start Guide
Magicdoor.ai gives you a single workspace for chat models, image models, memory, and assistants. The goal is simple: use the right model for the task without stacking separate subscriptions.
You keep one chat history, one memory system, and one usage dashboard. Magicdoor does not use your conversations to train AI models, and pricing stays visible while you work.
Create an account to get started
New accounts start with a small free usage credit so you can try the product. The paid plan is $6/month and includes $1 in monthly credits.
First chats
The chat interface is straightforward. Type your prompt, send it, and switch models whenever you need to.
The current chat lineup includes:
- Claude Opus 5 / Fable 5.1 / Sonnet 5 for writing, analysis, and coding
- GPT-5.6 Sol / GPT-5.6 Luna for general problem solving, coding, and tool use
- Gemini 3.7 Flash for fast multimodal work and long-context tasks
- Grok 4.6 for broad general-purpose chat
- GLM-5.3 / GLM-5.3 Flash / Qwen3.8 Max / MiniMax M3 / Kimi K3 / DeepSeek V4 Flash 0731 for Together AI options
Perplexity-powered search remains available as a tool when a task needs current web sources.
Want help choosing? Read the model selection guide.
Magicdoor can automatically route web-backed questions to Perplexity when needed. Most chat models also support images and PDFs, and image requests can trigger automatic prompt enhancement before generation.
Generating images
If you ask for an image in chat, Magicdoor can enhance the prompt and send it to one of the supported image models, including:
- nano-banana for fast general-purpose generation and editing
- GPT Image 2.5 Flare for strong all-round image generation
- Seedream 5 Pro for low-cost image generation
- Flux 2 Pro for photorealistic outputs and targeted image editing
- Recraft V4.1 for design-oriented generation
- Recraft Upscaler for resolution upgrades
You can also use the dedicated image generation interface if you want direct control over the prompt and model choice.
Usage-based pricing on top of a low fixed fee
Magicdoor charges a $6/month base subscription and then bills usage separately. That keeps the entry price low while letting you use premium models only when you actually need them.
Typical examples:
- A short question to a budget model can cost well under a cent.
- A longer chat with Claude Sonnet 5 often costs only a few cents.
- Active image generations land in the $0.067–$0.15 range depending on model.

Managing your usage and balance
Your paid plan includes $1 in monthly credits. If you use more, you can top up your balance from the usage tab. Added balance does not expire.

Tailoring Magicdoor to your preferences and memory
Open settings to adjust units, default behavior, and chat instructions. You can also add memory items so future chats remember your preferences and ongoing work.
If you already use ChatGPT memory, you can copy over saved memory items with the memory migration guide.
Assistants
Magicdoor calls these Assistants. They serve the same role as custom AI setups on other platforms: reusable instructions, repeated workflows, and task-specific behavior without re-explaining everything from scratch.
